My name is Diego Machado. I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, but I plan to change that. I’m most passionate about photography and travel, and love experiencing other cultures through lived experiences.

I grew up in an extremely culturally diverse part of the Greater Vancouver Area in a multilingual household, which has influenced me to strive for genuine, significant connections with people I meet. I’ve been a dedicated student since 2018.

Although I’ve experienced struggles with my education through and since the pandemic, I plan to continue learning even after graduating with my Bachelor of Digital Journalism. I excel in both organized and chaotic situations and always strive to make the best outcome with the resources I have.

My keen eye has been an invaluable tool for developing my skills as a photographer and writer, as I often notice details that many would glance over without much consideration. I greatly value authenticity, as honesty and transparency are important values to me in both my work and my personal life.

I operate well both with and without guidance and will always seek advice or assistance if I feel that I need it. My long-term goals have been core to all of my decisions for the last six years and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future.
